Are you a creative and passionate educator ready to inspire the next generation of innovators and life-skilled learners? Bourne End Academy is seeking a talented Teacher of Design Technology and Food Technology to join our dynamic and supportive team.

You will deliver engaging and practical lessons across Design Technology and Food Technology, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and independence. You’ll inspire students to develop both technical skills and a love for design, making, and cooking, while ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Food Technology
  • Inspire creativity, innovation, and practical skills development
  • Assess, track, and evaluate students’ design work, providing clear feedback to support progress and examination outcomes.
  • Promote sustainability, innovation, and real-world application through practical and theoretical learning experiences.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities
  • Pay range: M1 - UPS3 (Fringe) £34,398.00 - £52,590.00
  • Qualifications and Skills:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS
  • Strong subject knowledge in Food Technology
  • Passion for practical, hands-on teaching and learning
  • Flexible, proactive, and committed to continuous professional development
