Leicestershire Secondary SCITT

About this Organisation

Leicestershire Secondary SCITT are a teacher training provider based in Leicester. We provide school centred initial teacher training which maximises the time spent in school and the subject specific delivery to the trainees.

Our professional learning sessions provide the pedagogical knowledge the trainee need to excel in placements, which is then built on by our Lead Subject Tutors (LSTs).

On 18 Friday mornings, our trainees work with our Lead Subject Tutors (LSTs), highly experienced teachers, who design and deliver an exciting curriculum that develops their subject specialisms.

The trainee take this knowledge and the skills developed and apply them in school with their teacher educators, to practise the art and craft of teaching.

We are incredibly proud of the trainees we work with and also the amazing teachers and LSTs that show them exactly what it means to be a subject specialist and how to inspire students.
